Contemporary Artists with a style as Marc Chagall?
I'd really like to know if anyone out there know of any artists who have a sensation similar style to his earlier paintings such as Marc Chagall. I recently saw the movie "Queen to Play (Queen to Play)" which is, of course, absolutely fantastic, and there were few works of art in that there really was like Marc Chagall. Unfortunately I have looked everywhere for that artist, but I can not find anywhere, even DIAM. Therefore, it made me think if there were other similar works that had the same flash with them ..
The timing of this question makes me smile because in my last day in Paris one of my friends excited about "Queen to Play" and how is beautifully shot and performed, and actually went in search a theater where you keep playing, but to no avail. I had thought even trek to Palm Springs to take a look at the Film Festival yesterday, but decided against it angry because of bad weather we are experiencing today. Since I have not seen the movie I'm still not quite sure what art looks like, but if something like Marc Chagall I am very anxious to try it since it's my favorite artist and that has inspired my own art. Roberto Matta was a Chilean painter whose art is surprisingly reminiscent of Marc Chagall that gasped when I first saw at the Tate Gallery, if I believed in reincarnation, I'd swear they both had the same soul. One of his works is currently mesmerizing at LACMA in Los Angeles, and just grabs you and draws you with its powerful images and vivid colors. The art of Otto Dix, Henri Mattis, Joan Miró, Damien Hirst, Henri Rousseau, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, René Magritte, André Derain, Charles Schwab and Félicien Rops all remind me of her unique work of Chagall. live images Frida Kahlo and bold, vibrant colors also remind me of Chagall's paintings, and like him, who used his art as a cathartic release and almost a artography "(Biography told through art) of his life. I'm even more excited about the movie now. ~ Peace PS. Thanks, Sport.:)
