Painting metal photo frames with a flat finish?
Hi. I have a ton of older metal (brass, silver plated, etc) photo frames that I would like to recycle into new ones. I was thinking of painting them all with colored flat finishes to make them a little more contemporary.
Does anyone have any tips to doing this? Do I need to sand and prime? Thanks ahead of time!
I have used Tremclad paint directly on metal and painted metal with no primer. It is still holding up well to this day. I painted an outside light..I could only get it in a brown colour, so I painted it flat black. It has been outside for 2 years in the summer and winter weather…still looks great.
