Contemporary Oil Paintings

painters and artists: Which of these oil / acrylic paint is the easiest to do?
I've never taken an art class before, so they dont kno how to paint or i kno nothing about the techniques, etc. I love these paintings (especially texture) I wanted to use this as an inspiration. i dont kno how to create this texture. I have tried to practice painting and oil painting is rather flat and one dimensional (the box itself and the texture). So fillings I bought some oil paint and still looks pretty without texture .. im trying to paint something to that effect with acrylic paints and gesso bought heavy for work. which of these paintings is easier to achieve? suggestions are welcome. http://www.painterskeys.com/images/links/premium/laura_harris/laura-harris-artwork-flower-abstract1_big.jpg http://www.artbymimi.com/images/abstracts/Abstract 20Autumn%%% 20Trees_right_lg.jpg http://pabha.com/Paintings2005-2008/Images/Contemporary 20Painting, 20tulips%. 20by%%% 20Jimmy 20Quek, 20Singapore% 20painter% .. jpg
The first and third pictures, it looks as if they were painted with a knife and maybe the line of work was done with a brush. Oil paintings directly from the tube with a knife it would be better to make the texture. Acrylics are buttery texture, but not stiff enough. However, for me, the second picture looks as if the medium is applied with a stiff brush. It is difficult to say how a painting was done from a photograph. It better to see the real thing to try to find out how it was done. Gesso is used to prepare the surface to be painted. If the stucco is applied too thick, cracking may occur. To create texture in your paintings, I would not recommend using gesso, paint used instead. You do not have to create the texture with the paint itself, but if you purchase technical capacity, you can paint on a flat surface and highly polished and create the illusion of texture, depth (dimension "as you call it) light and shadow you. We just need to practice – practice – practice. When it comes to being a good painter, to learn by doing.
